Claude Opus 5.5 and Claude Sonnet 5.5 are now available through Application Default Credentials, appearing in /model when your project permits. Auto mode sandbox reviews now include enhanced egress checks, improving safety of code generated in the sandbox. The /diff view now shows a colorized Commit Tree, making change histories easier to read. Stalled model connections are automatically cancelled and retried, reducing interruptions during generation.

Side panel now has a redesigned overview that aggregates artifacts, changed files, links, and uploads from the current conversation. You can type /compact to summarize a long conversation and free up space for the agent to continue working. The model picker lets you select Flash Lite, Flash, or Pro for automations and hides models unavailable to your Vertex AI project. When signed in with Application Default Credentials, the picker also offers Claude Opus 5.5 and Claude Sonnet 5.5 if your project permits.
