Codex 0.145.0 brought major improvements to task management, desktop integration, and multi-agent workflows, while expanding model support and voice capabilities across platforms.
Task Management and Workflow
- Task management in conversations: Create, search, and fork tasks directly in chat on iOS without switching apps.
- Session management: Name conversations with /new or /clear, pin threads, and switch between side conversations without closing them.
- Unsent prompt restoration: Prompts automatically restore when switching between tasks, hosts, or workspaces.
- Thread forking with history: Fork conversations while preserving paginated history, including temporary forks for experimentation.
Desktop and ChatGPT Integration
- ChatGPT desktop integration: Codex is now built into the ChatGPT desktop app on macOS and Windows, keeping your projects and settings intact.
- ChatGPT Voice: Speak commands to coordinate work across Chat, Work, and Codex; on macOS you can share your screen for context.
- PR Chat: Review GitHub pull requests in context, send inline feedback, and accept or reject patches without leaving the app.
- Code review tools: Built-in address bar, history search, and multi-repository diff inspection speed up browsing and code review.
Models and Agents
- Amazon Bedrock support: GPT-5.6 Sol, Terra, and Luna models now available with first-class reasoning effort support.
- Multi-agent V2: Configure sub-agent models and improve navigation for coordinated multi-agent workflows.
