In version 5.5, the Copilot CLI can discover and select locally-running Ollama models via a new Local model discovery picker. The new Claude Haiku 5.5 model is now generally available across all Copilot plans and IDEs. GitHub Copilot now offers Local sandboxing, a secure execution boundary for agentic tool calls on Windows, macOS and Linux.
