Cursor Router, an intelligent model router, now powers Auto mode by automatically selecting the right model for each request based on task complexity. Choose from three optimization modes—Cost for token efficiency, Balance for daily use, or Intelligence for maximum quality—each positioned on the cost-intelligence tradeoff. Team admins can enable the router per group, restrict available modes, set defaults, and control which models members access. The router analyzes request type and complexity to route work efficiently across frontier and price-conscious models.
