Kiro CLI 2.30.0 lets you opt into the upcoming Switch to V3 model when you start a chat. You can upgrade your configs to make V3 the default harness and enable automatic agent upgrades. The V3 mode can also be launched on demand with the --v3 flag.
Kiro Web adds model fallback, step model picker, session preview, loop recovery
Kiro Web now lets you select a fallback model that automatically answers when the primary model is unavailable or refuses a request. Each workflow step can now use its own model via a new step model picker in the step composer, including effort and Thinking options when supported. When reopening a session whose sandbox is still starting, a session preview of the saved conversation is shown until the full history loads. If a workflow loop hits its iteration cap, you can add up to 1,000 extra iterations or stop looping to move on.
