September brought major improvements to Devin's agent capabilities, integrations with development platforms, and interface enhancements that streamline code review and session management across teams.
Agent and Models
- SWE-2 research preview: Now selectable in the agent selector with adjustable reasoning effort and mid-session toggling for more flexible AI-assisted development.
Code Review and Scanning
- Devin Review expansion: Now supports Bitbucket Data Center, Azure DevOps, and Helix Swarm with automatic reviews, status updates, and findings auto-fixed before posting as comments.
- Richer autoreview triggers: Set custom rules by account, organization, repository, or member with advanced filters on PR metadata and author type to control when Devin reviews.
- Code Scan improvements: Multi-select findings to bulk-assign or update status, cleanup scan type identifies dead code, and each scan gets its own Findings tab.
- PR tab enhancements: File-tree navigation, Smart diffs view, and "Open in editor" button make reviewing changes faster and more intuitive.
Integrations and Automation
- PagerDuty integration: Devin can trigger automations on incident events, act as an on-call responder to triage incidents, and record investigations as incident notes.
- Jira work assignment: Assign work items to Devin directly within Jira for seamless task management.
- Microsoft Teams enhancements: Direct @-mentions notify teammates, table replies send as attachments, and commands work without the `!` prefix.
- MCP marketplace expansion: 57 new hosted MCPs available including Buildkite and Brex, plus 21 new services with one-click OAuth installs like Dropbox and Railway.
Interface and Workflow
- Live Voice Mode: Calls start instantly with ringtone and space-to-talk, with ordered spoken replies appearing in the transcript.
- Session organization: Sidebar grouping filters sessions by pull request status, repository, or mode; Origin filter shows sessions from Slack, Web, API, Jira or Linear; and hover cards display live status and recent activity.
- Desktop Tab on Touch Devices: iPad and tablets now support tap-click, drag, right-click and two-finger scroll for remote desktop functionality.
- Plugins system: Teams can bundle skills, rules, hooks and MCP servers into installable packages with admin-controlled required or optional status, plus personal plugin installation from local folders.
- View preferences sync: Settings now sync across devices, and child sessions inherit their parent's context for consistent workflows.
