Goose v1.40.0 adds language selection in the desktop app and new slash commands for status checks, model switching, and agent self-evaluation. The CLI now supports peek mode for async tasks and chat history search in the navigation panel. Support expands to numerous AI providers including GLM-5.2, Together AI, Perplexity, Alibaba Qwen, Databricks, Scaleway, xAI SuperGrok, and MLX for local inference. Additional improvements include Hugging Face OAuth authentication, Nushell terminal support, worktree-aware directory switching, real streaming via Bedrock, and MCP extensions in open plugins.
