Devin released major improvements to environment management, enterprise governance, and workflow integration in July 2026, with new capabilities for multi-repository scanning, Slack automation, and on-premises deployment.
Environment and Configuration
- Git-Backed Blueprints: Version-control and collaborate on environment configurations directly within your Git repository.
- Environment page redesign: Platform filters, snapshot grids, and platform-specific icons make configuration discovery easier.
- Devin Outposts: Run Devin workloads in your own environment; disabled by default and requires contacting Cognition to enable.
Enterprise and Governance
- Centralized skill management: Admins distribute and govern skills consistently across Devin Cloud, CLI, and Desktop via plugins.
- Enterprise plugin governance: Configure required, optional, and forbidden plugins with automatic policy inheritance across organizations.
- Playbook promotion: Enterprise admins can now promote playbooks across all organizations instead of managing them per organization.
Workflow and Integration
- Multi-repository code scans: Scan multiple repositories in one operation with per-repository details and filtering.
- Slack Automation enhancements: Automation Devins now receive and respond to direct messages, and can start Windows sessions with the !windows command.
- Network Access Requests: Devin asks for approval to reach specific domains instead of requiring preconfiguration, with Slack approval support.
- Changes Tab redesign: Persistent file tree sidebar with toggle between tree and flat list views, plus full-width diffs with language icons.
